Motrin is very effective to treat several kinds of pain like toothache, arthritis, cold, flu, menstrual cramps and migraine. Apart from this, it is also beneficial for the treatment of fever as well.
How to Take Drug
This medicine is accessible in liquid form, in the form of ordinary tablets, liquid-filled capsules, chewable tablets and regular capsules. It is advisable not to swallow Motrin when empty stomach. Taking it with milk or food would be a good idea. Do not forget to shake liquid Motrin before using. Drug Precautions
- Not recommended for people who have a sensitive to ibuprofen, aspirin and other medicines of NSAID. It can also be harmful for asthma patients.
- It is also better to avoid this medicine for those who have stomach ulcer, bleeding disorder or advanced kidney disease. If you are a patient of any kind of circulation or heart problems, congestive heart failure, bleeding problem, lupus, high blood pressure or any other disease related to connective tissue, it is advisable to check with a physician beforehand.
- Motrin can increase the risk for a stroke or a heart attack.
- This medicine should not be taken just before or after the CABG (coronary artery bypass graft).
- Motrin can also lead to stomach or intestinal bleeding. In case you have suffered from ulcers in previous years of your life and is over the age of 60 years, along with habits such as smoking and drinking, your risk increases considerably.
- Motrin is not recommended in the later stage of pregnancy.

When you are taking any blood thinning medication or steroids, it is better to consult a doctor if you can take Motrin or not.
Side Effects
Swelling of the facial or hand muscles, tightness of chest, swollen mouth and throat, along with skin problems like blistering, peeling and skin rash. Irregular stool, urination, skin discoloration, fever, chest pain, speech problems, heartache, dizziness, and difficulty in watching colors are some other negative effects that can be observed in this medication.
Tingling sensations, swelling of facial and hand muscles, red rashes on the skin, breathing trouble, peeling, and itching are the allergic reactions that may be triggered by Motrin.
Coughing, skin discoloration, sudden headache, heartburn, mild nausea, blood discovered in urine, ambulatory and speech problems. Chest pain, coughing, fever and obscurity in seeing colors are some of the side effects caused by Motrin that are included in the list.

Missed Dose
Skip the dosage if you missed it. Do not double it.
Overdose
