Flexeril is basically a muscle relaxant. It is prescribed by the physicians for treating patients and providing them relief from the stiffness of muscle, sprains, muscle spasms and similar related problems. The active component of this drug is Cyclobenzaprine.

How to Take Drug
The medicine is available in form of tablets with concentration of 10 mg. The ideal dosage for the adults is prescribed to be three tablets of 10 mg each. Side Effects
Although there are no major side effects of this drug, few patients might suffer from problems, which may include development of rashes on the skin, swelling of the face, dizziness, chest pain, headache, and stiffness. Be cautious, while you are under meditation and avoid the jobs involving alertness, and follow the caution while climbing the stairs, as you may feel dizziness and drowsiness. Missed Dose
If at any time of the treatment you feel that you have missed any of your medicine dosage, then start taking the pills as soon as you remember about them. Never try to compensate on the quantity of medicine by doubling the intake of your regular schedule. Continue the normal dosage as prescribed by your doctor or pharmacist to prevent any side effects.

Overdose
Taking the overdose of this medicine might harm you. You may develop any of these symptoms such as irregular heartbeat, unstable temperature, hallucination and restlessness. You might also suffer from severe vomiting. Contact your doctor immediately as soon as you find that you have administered the overdose of the drug.

Storage
The ideal condition for the storage of this drug is to keep it in a dry atmosphere and an airtight container. The temperature for preserving these drugs is 25 degrees centigrade and the expired drugs should be immediately destroyed keeping it far from the reach of younger family member.
